Ontario, Canada – June 1, 2006, Integran Technologies Inc. today announced that it has licensed its nano Cobalt plating process to Enduro Industries Inc. for deployment as an alternative to hard chrome plating in the fluid power market.
Enduro Industries Inc. of Hannibal Missouri is a subsidiary of PTC Alliance and is a major manufacturer of hard chrome steel bars and tubes for the fluid power industry. Under the terms of the agreement Integran has granted Enduro a license with limited exclusivity for the fluid power steel bar and tube outside diameter coating market. The process of manufacturing hard chrome plating has significant environmental and safety issues. Integran’s nano Cobalt technology is an environmentally friendly drop in solution that provides improved corrosion protection performance.
“The agreement with Enduro Industries is a major component in our strategy to deploy the nano Cobalt plating technology in key vertical markets,” said Robert Samuel, Manager Business Development, of Integran Technologies Inc. The nano Cobalt technology commercialization has been made possible through the support of the US Department of Defense Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program, the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP) and the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP), and a repayable investment made by Technology Partnerships Canada (TPC).
TPC’s investment will be repaid based on predetermined percentage of revenues from Integran’s nano Cobalt plating process.
