The Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) recently visited Integran Technologies to tour our facility and learn about Nanovate technology. PEO is the licensing and regulating body for engineering in the province. It fulfills the same role for engineers as the College of Physicians and Surgeons for doctors or the Law Society of Upper Canada for lawyers. We got a chance to discuss how our advanced materials are used in applications from the aerospace, biomedical and defense industries. Of course, they also wanted to see COLT Hockey in action and talk about how our technology is re-inventing the hockey stick.Read More
Last week, we announced that Integran received an award from the DoD's SERDP office for our work on environmentally benign plating for toxic beryllium replacement, which is particularly interesting for high load bushings, like the all-Nanovate Metal Bushings shown here.
Here is a great new video demonstrating how Integran's Nanovate metal coatings can be used to significantly improve the durability of composites without adding much weight. Composites, while strong and lightweight, are very vulnerable to impact and wear damage that leaves them prone to failure.
Congratulations to our partners, Colt Hockey, for meeting and exceeding their goal on Kickstarter to develop a higher performance and more durable composite hockey stick with PowerMetal Technologies. The project exceeded expectations with over $100,000 raised from almost 500 supporters.
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 31, 2013) - Toronto-based Integran Technologies Inc. (Integran) today announced further advances in its electrodeposition technology for forming grain-refined and amorphous coatings and layers.
Yesterday, Kickstarter launched in Canada, and one of the first products on there was uniquely Canadian: a better hockey stick! After 24 hours, the stick campaign is already 25% funded and is leading Kickstarter Canada as the most successful launch day campaign!
Yesterday, we released the following press release regarding additional patent protection awarded to Integran:
